- How does it work? Open
When you have registered with Valued Opinions, you have the opportunity to be invited to surveys. To maximize your chances of receiving surveys relevant to you, there are questionnaires in your profile, which are not rewarded, but which help us send you the right kind of surveys for you.
There may be a delay of up to a few days while our servers process your profile questionnaires. This process allows us to start sending you right surveys. These surveys will be sent to you via an email invitation, with a link within it. By clicking that link, you will be taken to the survey, where you can fill in your responses. These surveys are usually paid between £0.50 and £5, although sometimes we will send you short surveys which help us to get to know you better, and are, as such, unpaid. However, they allow us to keep updating your profile so that we can keep sending you relevant surveys.
We’ll send you invites to paid surveys which you qualify for and we’ll also list the same surveys on your member account page. You can find a record of your rewards earned from completing paid surveys in your member account page too. Once you have £8.50 of credit, you can claim a reward voucher, from one of our partners, to use with them. We do not send cash or checks, or deposit money via PayPal.
- How does Valued Opinions make money? Open
Market researchers are interested in your opinions. We help them by providing them with your views on issues related to their clients' needs. For this reason we charge researchers for collecting opinions of the people who are likely to be customers of their products and services. Our members' views and opinions are obviously very important in this process and since market researchers are willing to pay for this information we pass some of that payment directly on to you!

Research Now Ltd is a leading online fieldwork and panel specialist who owns the Valued Opinions brand. Research Now works with reputable research agencies and manufacturers to assist in their understanding of customers by gaining the views of real people like you. - How do I get in touch with Valued Opinions? Open
If you have enquiries about any aspect of our service or if you would like to make any suggestions to improve our service, please contact our Member Services Team. To ensure a swift resolution of your query please tell us what the subject of your enquiry is, and provide us with as much information as possible such as survey number, voucher redemption date etc.
- Why am I unable to register? Open
Our security system may block an IP address or internet domain that is used by a lot of people. Please try joining from another computer, location and/or please try using another email address.
- How can I join Valued Opinions? Open
Thank you for your interest in Valued Opinions. In order to become a member of our panel, you need to register on the Valued Opinions website. Once registered, you will receive an activation email. You will have to click on the link to confirm your registration and activate your account.
If you have signed up but have not yet received or accidentally deleted your activation email please don't worry, a reminder will be sent to you within a few days.
- What is the minimum age for registering with Valued Opinions? Open
Unfortunately you are not allowed to join our service if you are under 16 years of age. The age restriction for Valued Opinions follows strict regulations and we are unable to stray from this rule.
- Do I have to live in the UK to join Valued Opinions? Open
Yes, this Valued Opinions panel is only available to residents of the UK. If you are outside the UK, there are other panels made for you!

- Will you contact me to ask for further information? Open
Sometimes we will contact you to ask more information to see if you fit the bill for a particular research project. These 'Hot Topics' usually only take a matter of seconds to complete. For example, we may ask if you have a DVD player, if we are looking for owners' views on certain types of DVD players.
We don't credit your Valued Opinions account for doing these quick questions as we don't get paid ourselves for them, however depending upon the client's criteria, you may be pre-selected for a fully paid survey soon afterwards.
- Will you protect personal information that I have given you? Open
- Can I register more than once with Valued Opinions? Open
No. We do not allow people to create more than one account with us. We are interested in the opinions of individuals and we cannot have people filling in the same survey for us more than once. We regard the creation of more than one account as fraudulent behaviour and it will result in the termination of your membership. If you think that you may have created multiple accounts by mistake, please contact our member services department.
- On what terms is our relationship based? Open
The relationship between Research Now Ltd, the company that owns Valued Opinions and this website and the members of the Valued Opinions Panel is detailed in this website's Terms and Conditions. The answers to the questions set out below do not form part of the contract between Research Now and the members of the Valued Opinions Panel.
- I have been invited to be a Mystery shopper by Research Now Ltd and received a cheque. What do I need to do? Open
If you have received a letter and cheque from a company claiming to be Research Now Ltd the cheque is not real.
It is a pretence to get you to send these scam artists your own money through Western Union or Money Gram. Often these letters claim that you can earn money by being a mystery shopper. Your assignment is to report your customer experience when utilizing wire transfer services.
The money you will be wiring is your own, as the bogus cheque they sent you is not real. You may in fact incur additional fees from your bank, along with losing the money you have wired.
These scammers are not member of Research Now Ltd, have no connection to our organization or to any of our members, and have nothing to do with legitimate, professional survey research. Contact your local inspector to report this mail fraud.
- How do I check my balance? Open
You can view your account balance and your pending credits anytime by signing into your account and checking the 'Rewards Statement' page.
- Why can't I sign in to my account? Open
Please check the following settings on your computer:
- Ensure that cookies are enabled
- Ensure that ISP settings are not blocking access to our website
- Remove Adware and/or Spyware from your system
- Ensure that your browser does not block access to our website
- Ensure that your anti-virus settings accept our website
- Ensure that your firewall settings accept our website
- Ensure that you add the Valued Opinions web site www.valuedopinions.co.uk as a Trusted Site on your browser by selecting Tools\Internet Options\Security\Trusted Sites, from your toolbar menu
If you still have problems please type manually www.valuedopinions.co.uk in your browser rather than following the link after doing a survey.

- What do I do if I have forgotten my password? Open
Please go to the Forgotten password page at https://www.valuedopinions.co.uk/forget-password. You will be prompted to enter your email address. Your password will be sent directly to your Inbox.
- How do I update my personal information? Open
If you wish to make any changes to your account, please sign into your account at www.valuedopinions.co.uk and go to ‘Personal Profile’ where you should be able to make the necessary changes yourself.
If you wish to change your email address, please remember that it is also your username and make sure you use the new email address to log into your account after making the changes.
- In what ways will you contact me? Open
You will always be able to clearly identify any communication from us - emails and letters will be very clearly from Valued Opinions, text messages will always say 'VOP Research', and in any phone call we will clearly tell you that it is someone calling on behalf of Valued Opinions.
All our surveys are for genuine research purposes and your answers will never be used to try to sell you something at a later date.
- Is there a minimum period of membership? Open
No. If you wish to unsubscribe, you will find an Unsubscribe button on every survey you receive. Alternatively, you can unsubscribe anytime by going to the Unsubscribe section on your member page or by contacting us.
Please note that you can only redeem your credit if your balance total has reached the required amount to claim a voucher. Should you wish to re-subscribe, your outstanding credit will be restored to your account.
If you wish to reactivate your account, please feel free to contact us and choose 'Registration' as subject, and we will be more than happy to reactivate your account for you.
- Why didn't I qualify for the survey? Open
We try to ask such questions as gender, age, location etc at the start of each survey because we look for different types of people to answer surveys.You may not qualify for a survey for many different reasons (demographic criteria and/or consumer habits). We make sure that we place questions that could disqualify our members from the survey at the beginning.
You may be stopped from completing a survey because we had reached the desired number of respondents for your particular profile.The system closes the survey automatically once the desired number of respondents has been reached.
We recommend that you keep your profile up to date and take part in Hot Topic surveys, as this will increase your chances of getting invited to surveys that are appropriate for you.
- How do I get invited to take part in surveys? Open
Once you have become a member of Valued Opinions, you will be immediately eligible for invitations to take part in research. Please see our Terms and Conditions which set out the obligations of Research Now in respect to invitations to take part in research.
- Why haven't I received any surveys? Open
Your chance to be invited to a survey really depends on a number of factors, such as the number and types of surveys we are conducting at any one time and your background information.
We will always email you if there is a new survey or Hot topic to take. Please ensure that your email provider is not blocking emails from Valued Opinions.
- How long will it take to complete a survey? Open
Surveys will vary in length, but will typically take less than 15 or 20 minutes to complete. Each e-mailed invitation to participate in a survey will tell you how long it should take, and the survey deadline to respond.
- Why can't I open surveys? Open
Please note that not all internet providers allow users to click on links within their email. If you are unable to gain access to our survey please try the following:
Copy and paste the link from your email into the browser address box and press enter. This will take you directly to the correct page
Ensure you copy the entire web address into the browser as sometimes the link can spread over two lines.
Make sure when you copy the link it does not contain any line breaks as this will also stop the link from working.
We recommend that you use Internet Explorer to take our surveys as some of them may not be compatible with other browsers.
- I have realised I have picked the wrong answer. Can I go back and change my reply? Open
Unfortunately, once you submit an answer on a survey, you are not allowed to change your answer. We do this to protect the survey data.
We realize there are times when a panellist makes an honest mistake and clicks on the wrong button but unfortunately we cannot go back and change our data.
- Why is the survey now closed? Open
The majority of our surveys are open for a few days. However, some surveys are more popular than others and close quickly.
We always try to limit the number of panellists we invite so that the panellists we do invite have a fair chance of answering the survey. We cannot always predict how popular a survey may be, and sometimes surveys unexpectedly close quickly.
- Can you re-send me the survey invite? Open
Unfortunately we can only distribute the links to the surveys once.
- Why do I have to cash in £10.50 for a £10 gift card/code? Open
The costs associated with purchasing, fulfilling and posting rewards has increased over recent years, therefore we had to make the difficult decision to spread the costs evenly across all retail-type rewards to help cover these costs.
- What is Flexecode? Open
Flexecode virtual cards can be redeemed from a great range of online retailers. Choose from big name online stores including Amazon, M&S, Firebox, Wow HD and many more!
- I have requested an electronic voucher. Can it be cancelled? Open
Unfortunately we cannot cancel electronic vouchers as they are emailed to you as soon as you request them.
Please note that you can order a different voucher every time your Valued Opinions account reaches £8.50, £10.50 or £15.50, so please choose carefully the next time you place your order.
- How can I use my Marks & Spencer online voucher? Open
The Marks & Spencer codes can be spent both online and in-store.
When you redeem for the M&S reward option, you will receive an email that contains a URL. Please click on the link and it will generate a PDF file with all the voucher details. Please ensure you have Adobe software on your PC so you are able to open and print this PDF file.
Spending online: To spend your e-gift card online, please enter the 16 digit card number at the checkout, selecting the gift card option at payment. You will need to enter your PIN.
Spending in-store: To use your e-gift card in store, simply print out and present at the till - you do not need your PIN.
- How can I use my Argos online voucher? Open
To spend your Argos Collection Code, simply present it on your mobile device at any Argos store. You can also print out the voucher confirmation page and present it at the till.
Collection Codes are single use; make sure you spend the full value of your code in one transaction, as no change will be given if the value of your purchase is less than the value of the vouchers you are spending.
- Why can’t I redeem for a £10 Amazon code anymore? Open
You can still receive a £10 Amazon code by redeeming for Flexecode, which offers several online brands. If you prefer to receive your Amazon code directly from Valued Opinions, you will now need to reach £15.50.
- Will I always be rewarded for taking part in research? Open
In general you will be rewarded by a credit to your Valued Opinions account.
The rewards work like this:
At the beginning of every survey we ask certain questions to validate your eligibility to carry on the survey.
Once selected to progress, simply complete any research - other than a Hot Topics questionnaire - and we will reward you with an amount, clearly stated up-front. We will endeavour to credit this amount to your Valued Opinions account within 6 weeks.We do not offer rewards for 'Hot Topic' questions.
If we identify that a respondent is not honest in his/her approach to research, for example by providing meaningless answers or trying to do multiple completions of the same survey, we can not reward this respondent. However, withholding a reward from someone occurs very rarely and is only used as a means to stop the few dishonest people from spoiling the opportunity for everyone else.
- I have participated in a survey. When will I be credited? Open
When you have successfully completed a survey, the reward is held in pending status until the full study has drawn to a close and the data has been processed. We endeavour to credit your account within 6 weeks, please note that this can depend on size and complexity of the survey.
- I have just finished a survey. Why is the reward not showing as pending? Open
Rewards for surveys hosted by our affiliates, complex studies such as diaries and product tests as well as surveys with a reward range will not show up in your pending credits.Everyone who completed all the necessary elements for these types of survey will see the correct credit go directly into their balance total when the survey is processed.
Please be advised that these surveys may take longer than 6 weeks to be processed due to the complexity of these studies.
- How can I redeem my rewards? Open
To check a list of all reward options available to you please visit http://www.valuedopinions.co.uk/rewards/ and go to the What to Claim tab.
To redeem your rewards, you need to sign in to your Valued Opinions account. Under 'Claim rewards' page, please select the rewards you wish to redeem. To be able to claim a reward you will need to have a balance of £8.50 or more in your valued Opinions account.
Please allow up to 4-6 weeks for the delivery of your offline voucher.
Online vouchers are sent out via a secure automated email. Please make sure you check your Junk mail folders and ensure you have not blocked any emails from Valued Opinions.
Please allow for up to 24 hours for your voucher order to arrive in your email inbox.
We reserve the right to offer a substitute reward of equivalent value to the payment method you have chosen. This may occur if, for some unforeseen reason, we are unable to obtain your first choice of reward, e.g. the company issuing vouchers to us ceases to offer vouchers.
We reserve the right to change the value of rewards paid for research that you undertake, although it is not our intention to do this.
Please note that it is your responsibility to pay any personal taxation liability that may arise as a result of us paying you your reward.
Valued Opinions Mobile App
- Will the app work on my phone? Open
The app is currently available for free for iPhone and Android smart phones.
- Where can I download the app? Open
You can download the app directly from the iTunes app on your phone. Alternatively you can download the app by clicking either the iPhone or Android links on the "Mobile App" page.
Once you've clicked on the link, simply follow the instructions to download the app to your phone.
- I don’t seem to have received any surveys on my app for a while? Open
Our app service is new and we'll be sending you more surveys over time. You will need to log in to be able to see the invites we send you.
We regularly send out surveys to your app – if you have not received any for some time, you may need to install updates. If all updates have been installed, please try refreshing the app.
- How much space on my phone will I need to download each survey? Open
Surveys which you'll receive through the app are extremely small (roughly 40 KB) and will require only a very minimal amount of storage space to complete. This means you will need to have enough space on your phone to receive the surveys we send you. As soon as you complete one of the surveys received through the app and click submit, the space will automatically be freed up again on your phone.
- How do I start receiving surveys on my app? Open
When you log in to the app for the first time, any surveys which are available for you to take will be listed in the ‘Surveys’ section. Tap the survey you wish to download and once the listing displays in colour, you can begin to complete the survey at your leisure - with or without internet connection. You can keep track of the surveys you have completed and the rewards you have received via the ‘Completed Surveys’ and ‘Rewards’ tab.

- Can I receive more than 1 survey on my app at any one time? Open
Yes! You can receive any number of surveys at any one time as long as we have them available and as long as you have sufficient memory space on your phone to store them. However, as this is a new service please be aware that the number of surveys available will build over time.
- Can I download the app if I am not a member of Valued Opinions? Open
You will need to first register to become a member of Valued Opinions through our website. Once you've activated your account, you will be able to download the app and begin receiving surveys through your app.
- I have downloaded the app. Does it mean I can do all surveys through the app? Open
No. The surveys you’ll receive are different from the usual Valued Opinions surveys – they’re only available through the app and won’t replicate the usual online surveys you receive in your email inbox.
The surveys you will receive through the app are specifically tailored for your smartphone. This means you'll have even more chances of earning rewards.
- Are my rewards and profile information linked to my online account? Open
Yes, you can manage your account through your app. This includes your account balance and pending rewards. All rewards earned through the Valued Opinions mobile app will be credited to your Valued Opinions account within the same timeframe as with the conventional surveys you complete through the emails we send you.
Valued Opinions Notify
- What is Valued Opinions Notify Open
Valued Opinions Notify is an application downloaded onto your computer giving you instant survey notifications, more reward-earning opportunities and quick access to your favourite pages.
- How can I download Valued Opinions Notify? Open
To be able to download Valued Opinions Notify you need a Windows operating system and at least 10MB of space on your hard drive.
Then login to your member’s account, visit www.valuedopinions.co.uk/notify/ and follow these easy steps.
2. Click on the download button
3. Copy the key code we provide you and click on the Install button
4. Run the program on your computer and then you will see a pop-up installer
5. Close all your browsers and click on the button OK of Valued Opinions installer
6. Upon completion you'll see a pop-up confirmation, click close and restart your computer
Make sure your restart your computer after successfully downloading Valued Opinions Notify.
The full download process will take between 1 and 2 minutes.
- Is this application for my phone? Open
No, Valued Opinions Notify is only for your personal computer.
- I have a Mac computer, can I download Valued Opinions Notify? Open
Unfortunately, Valued Opinions Notify is only compatible with Windows operating systems at this time.
- If I uninstall the application, can I re-install it? Open
Yes, if you have uninstalled Notify you can now re-install it on your computer. Please contact Member Services should you have any questions.
- How do I uninstall the application? Open
Uninstalling the application is just like uninstalling any application on your personal computer.
The steps differ according to your operating system but you can follow these general steps from your start menu:

a. Go to your “Control Panel”
b. Select “Add/Remove Programs”
c. Select “Valued Opinions Notify”
For Windows 7
a. Go to your “Control Panel”
b. Under “Programs” select “Uninstall a program”
c. Select “Valued Opinions Notify”
- What kind of information will be collected on my computer? Open
Valued Opinions Notify collects information such as sites you visit, how often you visit them and combines it with the same information from all other members who display similar behaviours. Valued Opinions Notify then aggregates the information we collect and provides us with a completely anonymous view on general online behaviour. No personally identifiable information or content is ever shared with third parties.
- The application icon doesn't display for me, is it working? Open
If you do not see a new icon in the system tray of your screen (near the clock) it is likely that the application was not properly installed. Please return to the Valued Opinions Notify page to re-start the download process. For more help, you can contact Member Services.
- Will there be a Valued Opinions Notify icon somewhere on my computer? Open
After you download the application, there will be an icon in your system tray. Your system tray (or systray) is located at the bottom of your screen alongside other icons such as your computer’s clock.
- I don't think my download key works, what do I do? Open
Please contact Member Services with the error message you received.
- Where do I find my download key? Open
Once you start the download process, your download key code will be automatically placed into the Valued Opinions Notify installer for you.
- Will this application track the activities of my family members as well? Open
Yes, the application will not differentiate between different users of a single computer. Valued Opinions Notify views any online activities as collective data for the computer and not each individual user on that computer.
